Marco Aurelio dos Santos Rocha known as the “Foka”was approached by officers in the stands of the fief of Rio de Janeiro, during the second leg of the brazilian cup who faced Fluminense Y Fortress (2-2), said the Marechaussee on their social networks.

At the time of his arrest, “Foka”, accused of controlling drug trafficking in the Castelar community, a disadvantaged area of ​​the Rio metropolitan region, was wearing a Fluminense shirt with his nickname on the back, according to images broadcast by local media.

He was considered a fugitive from justice, as two jail terms weighed him down in drug trafficking cases.

Authorities also accuse him of several murders in the region.

Rio de Janeiro is plagued by violence, fueled by conflict between drug gangs and vigilantes who control several areas of what is the most touristic city in the country.
