FC Porto and Sporting start in Madrid and Frankfurt, Benfica welcomes Maccabi

FC Porto and Sporting kick off the Football Champions League group stage with visits to Atlético de Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt respectively, while Benfica hosts Maccabi Haifa.

According to the league calendar published on UEFA’s official website, the Reds will be the first of the three Portuguese teams to take the field during the first round, on September 6 at 8 p.m. (Lisbon time), in Estádio da Luz, in front of the Israelis, for the H group.

The next day, September 7, Sporting visit Eintracht Frankfurt for Group D at 5:45 PM and FC Porto will play at Atlético de Madrid for Group B at 8:00 PM.
