The company has been working on this feature since at least last March. After WABetaInfo learned about this feature, the first tests of the new interface for group polls on iOS began.
A few days ago, the same portal confirmed that the messaging network continued to work on this option, thanks to which group participants will be able to create polls and share them with other members.
So he announced that the app A “Survey” option will appear along with other items that they can share in the group, such as documents, images or audio. He also confirmed that users will be able to add up to 12 different options to their survey, rather than five as in the first iOS tests.
Now, WaBetaInfo has indicated that WhatsApp Releases the ability to create this survey for iOS 22.21.0.70 beta testers through the TestFlight program. Registered users can access this feature from the chat settings section to create them.
This survey can be given a name or title, as well as 12 response options. Group members can also vote by selecting different options and it is also possible to see who voted for each alternative.
As of now, the option to create surveys is only available for iOS mobile users, while Android users can only participate in them by previously downloading the latest app update from Google Play.
