Snapchat now lets you pause your snapping streaks

Maintaining snapstreaks, where you send your friend a snap once every 24 hours, is very important to many Snapchat users. To reflect this fact, the company is now allowing users to pause their Snapstreaks so they don’t have to worry about pausing if they decide not to use the app for a while.

Snapchat only allows users to pause one stream for free during this trial period.

“Losing Snapstreak doesn’t mean your friendship has cooled, so starting today we’re making it easier to take a break with a new feature we’re testing so you can rekindle the spark and restore a streak with just one tap for free. the company said in an announcement.

The company said users “have the option to add more sequence recovery right from the app” and it costs 99 cents per break in the US. Snap also said it will soon be rolling out the ability for Snapchat+ users to freeze streaks… so essentially people have to pay somehow to keep streaks going.

Last month, the social network added a chatbot to its paid plan, powered by OpenAI’s GPT technology.

At its Investor Day event in February, Snap said it now has more than 750 million monthly active users, with more than 2.5 million paying users. At the same time, he made announcements for creators and developers. The company said it will provide developers with ray tracing technology to create lenses with realistic effects. In addition, features have been implemented to make it easier for creators to use licensed sounds for their snaps.
