Federal Roads and Bridges (Capufe) has issued a statement warning of the planned closure of the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway.
Access is interrupted at the roundabout “La Paloma de la Paz” towards Mexico City.
The closure is scheduled from Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 8:00 PM to Thursday, December 7, 4:00 AM.
During this period, tree pruning work will be carried out in the area to ensure the safety of motorists and improve public lighting.
Aware of the possible impact on mobility, Capufe explained in his statement that they decided to carry out these tasks at night to minimize the impact on vehicular traffic.
The aim of the measure is to optimize the condition of the infrastructure and guarantee the safety of users of this important highway.
In a statement, Capufe urged drivers to take alternative routes during the lockdown to avoid setbacks during their journeys.
In case of any possibility or doubt, they provide citizens with the helpline number 074 and the official Twitter account ©CAPUFE.
