Four astronauts return to Earth in SpaceX capsule

After six months on the ISS space station, the four astronauts returned to Earth Friday morning. At 6:43 a.m., they landed in a space carrier SpaceX capsule off the coast of Florida, US.

Inside the Dragon capsule were Commander Raji Chari, pilot Thomas Marshburn and NASA mission specialist Kayla Barron. There was also an astronaut from the European Space Agency: the German Matthias Maurer.

Less than 24 hours after leaving the ISS, the astronauts landed on Earth. On the last leg of the trip, the parachutes opened and the quad landed safely in the Gulf of Mexico.

The astronauts launched on November 11 last year and then spent six months on the space station. There they conducted all kinds of scientific experiments and spacewalks.

Last week, new astronauts were sent to the ISS. There are now eleven people on the space station. SpaceX has brought 26 people to the ISS in the past two years. Eight of them were space tourists and the others were astronauts.
