The company announced this during its annual I/O event.
The Pixel 6A is a smaller and cheaper version of the Pixel 6, released last year. Price: $449 in the US, the same as the Pixel 5A. Google’s own Tensor chip was the star of this announcement: the chip is not only in the more expensive models of the Pixel 6, but also in the new budget version.
In addition, the Pixel 6A has an aluminum and glass design. Like previous versions of the Pixel, it probably won’t be officially available in the Netherlands when the device goes on sale in July. Some Dutch online stores offer Pixel phones.
Pixel 7
The same goes for Google’s new flagship phones, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, which are available for pre-order just a few months after the Pixel 6A. Google wouldn’t say much about the new phones, except that the rear camera band is now aluminum and not glass.
The new smartphones will also receive a new version of the Tensor chip and of course Android 13. This operating system is currently in beta.
