Telecompaper reports this on the basis of a survey among more than 17,000 Dutch people aged 16 to 80 years. In the first quarter of this year, more than 5.6 million Samsung smartphones and approximately 4.7 million iPhones were used in the Netherlands.
According to Telecompaper, Apple’s share has increased in recent years, while Samsung’s has remained stable. In 2018, 30% of all Dutch people indicated that they have an iPhone, this number has now risen to 36%.
Eight percent of iPhone owners use an iPhone 13 series model. Half of all iPhone owners still use an iPhone model that is four years or older.
Most Popular Samsung Galaxy S
More than one in three (36%) Samsung owners own a Galaxy S series device. The 2019 Galaxy S10 is still the most used device by Samsung users.
One in five Samsung owners uses a model from the Galaxy A5 series. “Samsung seems to have done well with the Galaxy A5 lineup in recent years, which now includes new devices such as the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A52,” according to the Telecompaper.
