Some companies offer just one color for a laptop and call it a day. Others are more interested and offer a laptop in different colors.

This is the case with Apple. Apple has always focused on color, which has become even more evident in recent years. This heightened focus has just been observed with the launch of the company’s iMac in 2021, thanks to its powerful color gamut that makes it possible to buy a desktop from anyone. You’ll also find plenty of color options for the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, so shoppers can pick up an Apple device that suits their personal style.

However, there are a few things to keep in mind when it comes to current MacBook models. In total, only three colors are available for the entire MacBook line. The 13-, 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops are only available in space gray and silver. MacBook Air is available in Cosmic Gray, Silver and Gold. Unfortunately, we are not talking about the golden color of the rose. Regardless of which MacBook model/configuration you plan to purchase, Apple does not sell current models in Rose Gold.

Apple sold a rose gold MacBook

While Apple doesn’t currently sell the Pink Gold MacBook model, it has sold it before. Currently, the 13-inch MacBook Air and Pro models are the smallest MacBooks on the market. But Apple also sold a 12-inch MacBook, and rose gold was one of the colors you could use to buy this little laptop. However, at the end of 2018, Apple discontinued the MacBook color with rose gold and replaced it with standard gold. Less than a year later, the 12-inch MacBook was discontinued.

Will the pink gold MacBooks make a comeback?

Since Apple previously sold the MacBook in rose gold, there’s a chance the color will return in the future. This is even more likely when you consider that the company focuses more on color choices in general. It’s rumored that the redesigned MacBook Air, released in 2022 or 2023, will bring similar colors to the 2021 iMac. It’s unclear if there will be rose gold in the new color palette, but we can certainly cross over and wait.
