Although most headphones are Good Exercise, there are those who are not. An example of this is the Sennheiser TV Clear headphones. These headphones are really made for watching TV and are not water and sweat resistant, so not the right choice when exercising.

There are also headphones aimed at fitness enthusiasts and the perfect example is the Amazfit PowerBuds Pro. Although they usually look like headphones, they have a built-in heart rate sensor that measures the train’s heart rate during exercise. The headphones can also track speed, distance and calories burned and provide real-time voice messages for this metric during exercise.

The Soundcore Sport X10 and Powerbeats Pro are none of those things, except they both have permanent ear hooks to keep them in place and have a form-fitting design. The Soundcore Sport X10 headphones are smaller in size than the Powerbeats Pro and also come with a smaller oval pouch. In contrast, the Powerbeats Pro has a larger, square housing. Anker’s Soundcore Sport X10s is available in black, oat white and red, while the Powerbeats Pro is available in black, ivory, navy, pink, red, blue and yellow. Limited edition Powerbeats Pro models are also available, including a special NBA edition.

Anker headphones are cheaper

While both headphones are designed for sports, they offer a different experience. Soundcore Sport X10 earhooks are designed for rotation up to 210 degrees, offering owners a wide range of adjustments for maximum comfort. In comparison, the Powerbeats Pro hooks are not rotatable. For these types of headphones, water and sweat resistance is essential and this is one of the areas where Anker beat the Beats. The Soundcore Sport X10 headphones have an IPX7 rating and use special SweatGuard technology inspired by the underwater structure, Anker reports. The Powerbeats Pro headphones have a low IPX4 rating, which means they can’t escape falling into water or accidentally sinking. And while Anker doesn’t say if it has a waterproof case, Apple clearly states it doesn’t have a Powerbeats Pro case.

Both headphones have button controls on each button, but the Powerbeats Pro also have dedicated volume controls. While none of the headphones have active noise cancellation, Anker says the Soundocre Sport X10s come equipped with six microphones to facilitate noise cancellation during calls. The headphones also have a wind noise canceling feature and Bluetooth 5.2. The Powerbeats Pro headphones use Bluetooth 5.0 and use the Apple H1 chip to provide stronger connectivity and additional features when paired with an Apple device such as Fast Pair and Wensfree Hey Siri. In addition, the Powerbeats Pro features dual beamforming microphones and motion and sound accelerators for speech recognition and background noise reduction. There is also Find My support, which allows users to locate their headphones when they are lost.

The Powerbeats Pro’s battery lasts 9 hours on a single charge, and that number increases to 24 hours with a case. The Soundcore Sport X10 offers 8 hours on a single charge, but a total of 32 hours (three full additional charges) are available with the case. None of the charging cases have a wireless charger, while the Sport X10 case has a USB-C port, while the Powerbeats Pro has a Lightning port. Both headphones also come with companion apps and are compatible with both Android and iOS devices. Anker says the Soundcore app has breathing exercises and lets users choose from 22 different pre-installed equalizers for the best listening experience.
