The lawsuit took place between 2010 and 2018, when the three men kidnapped and traded a total of 6,464 copies of PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and accessories. The massive recovery started with a 53-year-old man from Coevorden who had worked for years as a service employee for Sony PlayStation.
Adam arranged repairs and returns on customer PlayStations. These repairs were performed by an outside company. His job in the service department allowed the man to hide PlayStations while repair trips came and went. In total, the man pushed back 5,767 new PlayStations or accessories and 697 refurbished devices.
Online game ran into the lamp
The lawsuit came after tax and customs authorities found that the 53-year-old player had invested more than half a million euros in online gambling between 2013 and 2017. This is evident from a large-scale survey among online gamers.
Further investigation revealed that from January 2014 to July 2018, the man received a total of 844,393 euros from one of the other convicts.
