Tesla will deliver Cybertruck in mid-2023

production problems

Tesla has faced several issues in its car production in recent months, including the corona closures of its main factory in China. As a result, the company was able to deliver approximately 18% fewer vehicles in the second quarter than in the first quarter.

The company is also suffering from the shortage of some chips. More major automakers have suffered since the coronavirus pandemic, although the chip shortage has declined dramatically, according to some brands.

Fewer cars delivered

Tesla shipped about 255,000 cars in the quarter, nearly a fifth less than in the first three months of this year. This was the first drop in two years.

CEO Elon Musk said last month that Tesla’s new factories in Germany and Texas were losing billions of dollars. According to Musk, factories face high costs and challenges to quickly accelerate their production. Musk announced that jobs will be cut to cut costs.
