A 7-month-old British girl is in hospital where she is fighting for her life after an alleged assault in a nursery. A woman was arrested and charged with assault. “The girl’s parents are being updated and are currently supported by the investigation team,” police said.
A notice was placed on the nursery door announcing the momentary closing to allow “time to investigate, we are convinced that a child may be exposed to a risk of maltreatment” and that “all necessary measures are taken to eliminate or reduce that risk”.
The closure will last until November 7, however the notice notes that the measure will be “regularly reviewed” and could be stopped if children are believed to be “no longer at risk”.
