“It’s terrible to think that she was injured all these hours,” said a resident of Benhall, in the east of England, in astonishment. In this village of a few hundred inhabitants, around 7 am yesterday, a underage girl was found bloodied with numerous stab wounds, including a conspicuous one in the back. The identity of the victim is not known, nor of his attacker. However, the police announced that they had 17 year old arrestedsuspected of stabbing the young woman to kill her.
According to local media reports, the rescue was informed by a “dog nanny” who was walking the dogs at the time. the young woman was found by passerby just before the junction of Aldecar Lane and Benhall Green and was admitted to the hospital in Ipswich, capital of the English county of Suffolk. His conditions are stable.
The attack is presumed to have taken place around 2:00 pm between Saturday and Sunday. According to local police, the victim probably knew her abuser. The police themselves are therefore convinced that this was an isolated case and excludes possible risks for the other inhabitants of the area, who, however, requested maximum cooperation to clarify the case. Witnesses are therefore being sought who can provide useful details for the conduct of the investigation, which the Martlesham Police Investigation Center in Ipswich is dealing with.
Among the inhabitants of the village of Benhall, and its surroundings, consternation reigns over what happened: “Our hearts are all with that poor girl. Many people who live in these parts know her”, one of them told The Sun.
