Oyebodee and the other 18-year-old student on board, who has not yet been identified, suffered very serious injuries that turned out to be fatal. The two managed to get to the hospital. Ljungman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ljungman was remembered by her former college roommate with these words: “Smart, beautiful, adventurous, punctual and risky.”

“The University of Hampton is aware of the unfortunate incident that occurred today involving two of our students. The exact cause of the incident is under investigation,” a university spokesperson said after the incident, according to reports.
