War in Ukraine, British 007 reveals: “Russians lose faith in Putin”

“The Russian army’s supplies and ammunition are running out and the troops are depleted. The use of prisoners to reinforce the ranks and now the mobilization of tens of thousands of inexperienced recruits speak of a hopeless situation.” This was revealed by Sir Jeremy Fleming, head of the British spy agency GCHQ.

Fleming, who rarely speaks in public, spoke to the Rusi thinktank, where he highlighted the exorbitant costs incurred by Russia in months of fighting. “We know – and Russian commanders on the ground know – that their supplies and ammunition are running low.” Furthermore, according to Fleming, the Russian people are losing faith in Putin and his war. And about Putin’s possible use of a nuclear weapon, British 007, speaking on the BBC’s ‘Today’ program, states that: “Currently there are no signs that Russia is considering the use of nuclear weapons – it is very dangerous and we must be very careful how we talk about it,” he concludes.
