Russian missiles over Kiev region, anti-aircraft alarm sounded everywhere this morning. It is unclear whether there are victims. Kiev also denounced the use of kamikaze drones in the Zaporizhzhia area. The intensification of the attacks the day after the statements of Vladimir Putin who, on the one hand, said that the objective “is not to destroy Ukraine”, however declared that he has no regrets. The US announces a new package of military aid for Kiev worth 725 million dollars.
Ukrainian forces continue their advance into the Kherson region, where many civilians are being evacuated. According to an analysis by the Financial Times, Kiev’s armed forces could liberate the city “in the next week”. It is difficult to say whether this is an achievable goal, but in the meantime Ukraine reports that it has liberated more than 600 settlements in the past month, the vast majority in the Kharkiv region.
