At first, some isolated plots emerged from the waters that at first glance could also look like garbage, then in the following days on the same beaches other plots emerged and others, until counting dozens of bags wrapped in bags black garbage and tied to empty containers and gallons. That is strange find lasted for days on the beach at Tan-y-Bwlch, near Aberystwyth, on the coast of Mid Wales, and proved to be a huge drug trafficking.

In these containers, as the police discovered, from Dyfed-Powys, there were hiding from cocaine for a wholesale market value of 42 million pounds, equivalent to 48 million euros.

The discovery of the large number of black bags tied to plastic trays to keep them afloat began on October 1, but lasted more than ten days. The local police had to carry out the kidnappings from time to time, also sending a warning message to the local population not to touch or approach any suspicious containers.

“Since the first discovery of a series of packages of what we suspected to be cocaine, land, air and sea crews were all sent to monitor the area in case there were other objects in the sea,” recalled police who, after the discovery, were assisted by other law enforcement agencies such as the National Crime Agency and the National Police Air Service.

The police have so far said that seized about 12 quintals of cocaine. “Our investigation continues and we reiterate to the public that if anything suspicious is found on the beaches, they must not touch it and the police must be contacted immediately”, explain the British investigators.
