Powerball’s record $2.04 billion jackpot has been hit. The ticket was sold in Altadena, California, the California Lottery announced on Twitter. Results posted on Powerball.com indicated that there was only one winner who matched all six numbers in the draw.
The announcement of the winning numbers, scheduled for Monday night, had been postponed until Tuesday morning, because one of the 48 state lotteries contesting the Powerball had asked for more time to complete operations. The winning numbers are: 10-33-41-47-56, with the Powerball number 10.
The winner can opt for a cash payout equivalent to half the jackpot or a full payout over 30 years.
