“Increase private and public capital”: IDB challenge against the climate crisis

In 2021, the IDB Group mobilized $6,000 million in climate finance, half of which, $3,000 million, was allocated to mitigation projects and activities in various countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Until November 18, the COP27 climate summit will bring together nearly 40,000 participants, including governments, academics, climate activists, businesspeople and civil society representatives, to make commitments to tackle the climate crisis.

Financing adaptation to climate change It is one of the central themes of the meeting, which will devote the entire day of November 9 to analyzing how to solve the problem of paying for decarbonisation and the energy transition.
