Breanna had planned what she thought would be “a big party” at the KidsTopia Playground in Utah, a “jungle-themed indoor playground” with giant slides, ball pits and tunnels. “I created the Facebook event and sent it to a bunch of friends, and they replied, ‘We’ll be there,’ ‘I can’t wait, the kids are going to be so excited,’ etc,” she recalled. The invitation was extended to 13 different families, with 27 children totals.

“One day before your birthday party there were seven families who responded saying they would come. I counted 13 children who would attend. But on the morning of the party she woke up to find that three of the families had changed their answers from “I’ll take it” to “I won’t” at the last minute, with no explanation.

Despite this, she went to Kidstopia with little Avery. There was no one there when they arrived, so he sent a message to the people who agreed to attend to find out where they were. But no one showed up or responded to his messages.
