Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksi Danilov, announced on Twitter after a meeting of this body that Kiev is requesting “immediate access” to the crime scene from representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Ukrainian Border Guard.
The Council said in a statement that the Ukrainian government advocates joint and as detailed an investigation as possible with its allies and is fully open to a comprehensive examination of the situation and “agree on conclusions based on all available evidence”.
Moreover, Kiev is willing to hand over the evidence in its possession and with a “Russian track”, added the Council, which met in the Ukrainian capital under the orders of the Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky.
“We are waiting for the information from our allies on the basis of which they concluded that it is a Ukrainian air defense missile,” the statement said, which emphasized that only Russia “is responsible for what happened.”
