Russian missiles kill two on Polish soil

According to the EFE bureau, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki urgently convened the Polish National Security Commission after information emerged that a Russian missile may have hit the border between Ukraine and Poland.

On Tuesday, Russia attacked dozens of targets across Ukraine, mostly related to energy infrastructure, knocking out power in much of the country.

According to ZET radio, the police and military are already on the scene and firefighters have confirmed that there have been explosions in that city, he added.

According to the El País portal, US intelligence has confirmed that Russian missiles have killed two people in a Polish town a few miles from the Ukrainian border. If confirmed, it will be the first Russian strike on NATO and European Union territory.

The US government “absolutely” condemned the wave of attacks and warned its leaders that “the G-20 will only serve to amplify their concerns” at a meeting in Bali, Indonesia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky assured G20 leaders that “it is time” to end the war against his country.
