Mexicans missing in Peru: they search the house of the main suspect

The National Police of Peru is working to solve the disappearance of Mexican Blanca Arellano Gutiérrez. The house of the main suspect was searched on Tuesday.

According to initial information, authorities said they found a Mexican flag, women’s clothing, traces of blood and hair.

The main character in the case is Juan Pablo Villafuerte Pinto, who appeared before the authorities after the disappearance was reported. but he refused to testify, the head of Huacho’s criminal investigation department, Elvis Baños Valverde, said in statements recorded by the Peruvian newspaper RPP Noticias.

On Thursday, November 10, a woman’s body was found on a beach in Huacho. A ring matching that of the Mexican citizen was found at the scene, but forensics are still underway to determine her identity.

Relatives in Mexico reported on November 7 that Blanca Arellano was missing after losing contact with her in Peru. The Mexican Embassy in Peru reported that it was aware of the case on Nov. 11 and is working with the victim’s family, but clarified that all details will be provided by local authorities.

Karla Arellano asked for help to find her aunt. On social networks, she explained that she traveled to the South American country in July to meet a sentimental couple.

However, after a few days, she denied knowing her whereabouts and said she had decided to return to Mexico.
