ONE leader of a US religious sect is accused of having 20 little girls “married” mostly from under 15 years old, including one just nine years old, and even his daughterforcing them to practice sexual acts, even in a group.
That’s what emerges from the Washington federal court documents filed in recent days against Samuel Rappylee Bateman, 46, leader of a small group of polygamous Mormons, arrested last September during a police check on the street.
As local media reconstructs, the man was initially pulled over after an agent saw some children’s fingers moving in the slot on the rear door of the caravan trailer attached to your car🇧🇷 In the middle were two women and two girls under the age of 15, while in the trailer, a closed box with a toilet bucket, were three girls, all aged between 11 and 14.
The man was arrested but released on bail, but a warning was raised and, after some investigation, the FBI raided his two Colorado City homes in September, bringing to light a disconcerting reality.
Prosecutors accuse him of horrific crimes, such as incest, group sex acts involving adults and children, and child sex trafficking. According to the FBI, in addition to marrying minors, he and other cult members transported minors between Arizona, Utah, Nevada and Nebraska to engage in illegal sexual conduct between May 2020 and November 2021.
According to the indictment, the man was initially part of a larger cult, but he began to proclaim himself a prophet in 2019 managing to gather around him more than 50 followers.
At that point he would have forced women and girls to submit to his sexual desires. According to the FBI, most of his wives are daughters, sisters and mothers of two polygamous families.
Furthermore, Bateman allegedly forced three adult men from his cult to have sex with his underage daughters, one of whom was just 12 years old, witnessing the abuse firsthand.
