A man has been charged with rape following an alleged incident in the Pontcanna area of Cardiff on Monday 12 December. The alleged incident took place in a Talbot Street lane in the early hours of the morning.
South Wales Police said Luke Spinks, 29, from Ely, appeared at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 17 December and was taken into custody. The statement read: “Spinks is also charged with theft and fraud for making false statements. He will then appear at Cardiff Crown Court on 16 January.”
Detective Inspector James Howe, of the South Wales Police, said: “The victim has received new information in relation to this important development in our investigation and investigations continue.” You can read more court news here.
