Ukraine and two Italian journalists injured in Kherson attack

Italian journalist Claudio Locatelli was wounded in what he called an “intentional attack” on Russian army positions in Kherson, Ukraine.

On his Facebook page, in a post also accompanied by a video with the moments that followed the attack, Locatelli – who was in the car with his colleague Niccolo’ Celesti – reported what happened. “The explosion you see damaged the car, we were blocked at gunpoint before we got out safely, I lost blood but the wound is minor. If I had opened the door I would have been left without a leg or worse,” he said. Locatelli. “The car is well signposted, there was no one else, the attack against us was intentional given the location and dynamics. The shooting came from the bank beyond the Nipro, where the Russian army is located. Shooting in the press has no excuses. Fortunately we are well. We will continue to investigate and denounce this conflict precisely in response to those who want to silence us, to those who try to slander or to those who try to obscure our commitment on the ground”, concludes the post.
