To minimize the environmental impact and financial of this change, in fact, new banknotes will be printed only to replace the used ones and to meet a general increase in demand.

Queen Elizabeth was also the first and only monarch to appear on circulating banknotes printed by the Bank of England, from 1960🇧🇷 Notes issued by Scottish and Northern Irish banks do not represent the Sovereign.
