Randolph Rodriguesspokesman for Lula’s government in the Senate.
The decision was made by the magistrate Alexander de Moraeswho also ordered the arrest of the former commander of the military police of Brasilia, Fábio Augusto Vieira, who was executed this Tuesday, responding to a request from the Attorney General’s Office.
According to the local press, Torres, a staunch Bolsonaro ally, is currently in the United States, where he traveled on vacation after taking over Brasilia’s security secretariat last week.
However, federal police searched Torres’ home in Brasilia for evidence.
Under his leadership as head of security in the Brazilian capital, thousands of radical Bolsonarists roamed freely in the headquarters of the three powers last Sunday, destroying valuable furniture for four hours.
Torres was removed from office that same Sunday by the governor of Brasilia, Ibaneis Rochawho hours later was temporarily removed from office by order of De Moraes himself for his alleged failure to stop the Bolsonaro horde attacking the headquarters of the three powers.
