They find the body of a minor on a trail in Ciudad Caribe in Soledad

Residents of the Ciudad Caribe sector, in Soledad, alerted uniformed officers of the Barranquilla Metropolitan Police about the discovery of the lifeless body of a young man on a path leading to the Interaseo company.

Everything happened around noon on Wednesday, January 25, according to authorities. The uniformed officers who arrived at the scene confirmed that it was a brown-skinned teenager, who was wearing a white jumpsuit, gray pants and stockings.

Subsequently, forensic experts performed the technical inspection of the corpse; however, the causes of death were listed in a report as “yet to be determined”.

After the discovery of the body and its transfer to the Legal Medicine headquarters in Barranquilla, it seems that the said death is related to another murder that took place in the municipality of Sabanagrande on the night of that same Wednesday.

Some people came to the institute’s facilities and stated that they were close to the young man who was found dead in Ciudad Caribe de Soledad and, in addition, said that he lived in the municipality of the eastern band of the Atlantic.

“My son’s name was Jesús David Ariza Conrado and he was 17 years old. The police contacted us around 6pm (Wednesday) and told us they had found a body with his markings. We were looking for it. We last saw him before yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon when he left his grandmother’s house in Sabanagrande,” Karen Conrado, the victim’s mother, told EL HERALDO.

The woman claimed that Jesús David called her last Tuesday evening. In that last conversation, he told her that he was fine and not to worry, he would be back in a while. But he didn’t come back. The next day, the relatives began to search for him without success.

“We didn’t know about my son, we called him and he didn’t answer, then the cell phone rang. Then they told us about the body. He was wearing a white jumpsuit and gray pants,” said the missing young man’s mother.

That coincided with the police report; however, through some tattoos, the relatives confirmed that it was the minor.

It turned out that Jesús David Ariza Conrado was a friend of Farid Rodríguez Charris, the 25-year-old man who was killed in Sabanagrande on Wednesday night.

“The police had already spoken to us when they killed the boy. Yes, they were friends for a long time,” says Karen, Jesús David’s mother.

Along the same lines, the woman shared a detail that would change in both cases: “My son (Ariza Conrado) received a message that they were going to kill him first and then they would go for the other boy. We found that out after his disappearance.”

It should be noted that the crime of Rodríguez Charris has captured two people. In view of this, the Atlantic Police, in conjunction with the Barranquilla Metropolitan Police, began gathering evidence to link the two facts. At this point, the 17-year-old’s family asked for clarification: “We want justice for everything that happened.”
