A two-year-old boy was seriously injured after being hit by a van outside a nursing home in Merthyr Tydfil. The collision was reported to the police shortly before 10:50 am on Wednesday (January 25).
A black Volkswagen Transporter was involved in the incident which occurred at Ty Gurnos Newydd, near Spruce Tree Close, Gurnos. South Wales Police say the boy remains in hospital with serious injuries and his family are being treated by specially trained officers.
Law enforcement officials are asking anyone who might have surveillance camera footage or video recorders nearby to contact them.
A spokesman said: “We are appealing to any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the collision or who can provide information about the movements of the Volkswagen Transporter and the two-year-old boy.”
