A two-year-old girl has died after emergency treatment in Monmouthshire, police have confirmed. Emergency services were called to a house on Chapel Lane in the village of Poolmeyrick, about a kilometer south of Chepstow, on Thursday morning.

A spokesman for Gwent Police said: “We received reports of a medical emergency at an address in Chapel Lane, Pulmerick at around 8.20am on Thursday 26th January. from Welsh Air Ambulance., who confirmed that the two-year-old girl died at the scene.

No details about the boy’s sudden death or his identity have been released.
