The road is closed and authorities there say it may remain closed for “some time”. Drivers are advised to avoid the region and seek alternative routes.
At 1.17am on Sunday, the official South Wales Police Twitter account said: “We are at the scene of a serious collision at the intersection of Morgan Street and Swansea Road, Pontardau. The trail is currently closed. It is expected to be closed for some time. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes whenever possible.”
