Expert divers join search for missing mother

Friends of Nicola Bulli, a missing mother of two, say they hope the help of a specialized underwater rescue team will provide answers for her family.

Specialist Group International’s private diving team, led by forensic expert Peter Faulding, will help police track down Ms. Bulley, who disappeared over a week ago while walking her dog near the River Wyre in Lancashire.

Police are working on the theory that the 45-year-old woman fell into the river, but her family and friends doubt it and say there is still no proof.

More than 350 people died as a result of the strong earthquake.

The death toll in Turkey and Syria rose to 360 after a powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake toppled buildings and sparked a frantic search for survivors under rubble in towns and villages across the region.

On both sides of the border, residents awakened by the morning earthquake rushed outside into a cold, rainy and snowy winter night as buildings collapsed and strong tremors continued.

Rescue workers and residents desperately searched for survivors under the rubble of their homes in many cities, picking their way through tangles of metal and chunks of concrete.
