The theme stands out in Serbia: escalating tensions between Kosovo and the two countries, which risk escalating a conflict. That’s why the video showing MP Zvonimir Stevic sitting in his seat in Parliament during Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic’s speech sparked controversy. Caught red-handed, the politician decided to resign.

Stevic, a representative of the ruling Socialist party in Belgrade, was a longtime politician and chairman of the Serbian parliament’s “Kosovo Committee”. The video, which first appeared on social media, then national media, shows her intent on browsing adult content on her phone. The reaction of the party colleagues was immediate: “This is a scandal and a disaster. Zvonko, your resignation is realistic. Ivica Dacic, Serbian foreign minister and leader of the Socialist Party, told Stevic, you can no longer remain a member of parliament, because you can’t deal with it. Stevic resigned, answering “I am a party soldier, I will do whatever you want,” according to sources close to the government.
