On the afternoon of this Thursday, February 9, a bullet attack was recorded in the Los Olivos neighborhood, injuring a man and the alleged assailants were apprehended by the Barranquilla Metropolitan Police.
According to information from the authorities, these people drove a gray vehicle on 105th Street and 23rd Street and one of them allegedly shot the civilian who was wounded in one of his arms.
It was at this point that the National Model of Community Surveillance by Quadrants units reacted quickly and found the car on the run.
Police searched the car and found a pistol-type industrial firearm, which is believed to have been used in the criminal act. Therefore, the occupants, three men and a minor, were arrested and placed at the disposal of the public prosecutor’s office.
“Barranquilla police have launched an investigation to determine the motives behind the event,” the authority said in a statement.
