Another summit purge in Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky sacked National Guard Deputy Commander Ruslan Dziuba, who was in charge of military logistics. This was reported by the Ukrainian media, referring to the executive order signed by the leader of Kiev, which does not specify the reasons for the decision. Previously, Zelensky had several meetings with the heads of defense and security agencies on disparate topics, which also included “”the transparency of the agencies’ work”, recalls the Kyiv Independent. He is not the first official victim of the purges, hundreds of Ukrainian command cadres were sacked or replaced, some ended up on trial.
Meanwhile, the battle continues on the battlefield. Evgheny Prigozhin, leader and founder of the Russian mercenary group Wagner, announced the capture of the village of Krasna Hora, on the northern edge of the besieged city of Bakhmut, in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. In an audio message published by his Telegram press service, Prigozhin said: “Today the settlement of Krasna Hora was taken over by shock troops from the Wagner private military company.” Prigozhin also posted a short video, apparently showing Wagner’s fighters at the entrance to Krasna Hora.
