US aircraft shot down another unidentified flying object over Lake Huron near the US-Canada border on Sunday, a Michigan congressman said. It is the third target killed by a US missile in three days after it was intercepted in Alaskan waters on Saturday and shot down in Canada’s Yukon region, near the Alaskan border.
“I have been in contact with the Ministry of Defense regarding the operations carried out today. [por este domingo] in the Great Lakes region. The US military has dismantled another “object” over Lake Huron. I appreciate the decisive action of our fighter pilots. The American people deserve far more answers than we get,” Republican Rep. Jack Bergman wrote on Twitter.

The military command ordered the temporary closure of airspace in the area where the massacre took place (near the border with Canada) for Sunday’s operation. Sources cited by the Wall Street Journal indicate that the object was octagonal in shape and flew at an altitude of about 20,000 meters, about 6,100 feet. There is no evidence of extraterrestrial activity, government officials told US media, perhaps out of fear that the episode of the unidentified flying object, already trending on Twitter, will trigger a psychosis among the population.
The discovery and launch of these three objects comes a week after a Chinese balloon flew over the United States at high altitude. According to the State Department, this balloon was equipped with antennas capable of detecting and intercepting communications signals and other instruments unsuitable for the civilian nature of a weather balloon that China attributes to it. Washington claims the balloon is part of a Chinese spy program that has flown over more than 40 countries on five continents. The incident heightened diplomatic tensions between the two superpowers.
According to US media, US radars have been adjusted due to the appearance of the Chinese balloon, which may intercept more objects than in the past.

The White House said the object shot down in Alaskan waters was the size of a small car and was flying at an altitude of about 40,000 feet (just over 12,000 meters). According to the Pentagon, it posed no military threat, but it did pose a risk to air travel, as commercial jets typically have a cruising altitude of 40,000 to 45,000 feet. It was located on Thursday and shot down on Friday by an F-22 armed with an AIM-9X Sidewinder missile at the behest of US President Joe Biden.
The crashed object over northwestern Yukon was located Friday by the US Joint Air Command, which coordinates Canadian and US air forces in the region. It was shot down by another American F-22 on the orders of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who previously spoke to Biden. Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand said on Saturday it looked more like a Chinese balloon, but was smaller and cylindrical.
None of them knew their origin, abilities or purpose. Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer said on Sunday that he had spoken with Biden and said they are believed to be balloons, but much smaller than the Chinese ones. No official statements have yet been made about the third object killed on Sunday.
