Nicola Procaccini is the new co-president of the ECR Group. The ECR group (Group of European Conservatives and Reformists) elected Italian MP Nicola Procaccini as co-president, who will lead the group together with Professor Ryszard Legutko. Previously, the position was held by the Minister of European Policies, Cohesion Funds, South and Pnrr Raffaele Fitto.
Nicola Procaccini was elected MEP in 2019 in the Central Italy constituency, was Mayor of Terracina from 2011 to 2015 and from 2016 to 2019, Head of the Department for Environment and Energy of Fratelli d’Italia and President of the EU-South Asia Delegation of the European Parliament.
