Seeing that the keys remained in the ignition, she ran to the car, not realizing that there was an 11-year-old girl in the backseat. In a panic, he embarked on a long escape with the girl on the ship, in the process of which he damaged several vehicles and caused at least two accidents. He was eventually arrested. And luckily there were no physical consequences for the little girl.
The incident occurred yesterday in Kehl am Rhein, Germany. The thief, apparently under the influence of drugs, spotted a woman getting out of the car and leaving the keys inserted to do a short job at a shop. As soon as he got on board, he started the engine and, taking the girl with him, fled to France. After crossing the border, however, the French police, warned by their German colleagues, immediately intervened and chased away the thief, who thought it best to return to Germany, where he was eventually stopped and arrested. A German police report says that during the escape, “the car thief damaged several cars, some significantly” and “caused two accidents”. Fortunately, the little girl did not suffer any injuries.
