At least four killed and eight injured in attack in Pakistan

“A explosive iimprovised, installed in one motorcycleit exploded in Rakhni city around 10 am, said deputy commissioner of Barkhan district, Khadim Bhangar.

According to the source, the explosion killed four people and injured eight, two of them in serious condition, who were taken to a city hospital for medical attention.

Security forces cordoned off the area and launched an operation to track down the perpetrators of the attack, Bhangar added, while Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the event.

“Terrorists will not be able to escape punishment and those who shed blood will receive exemplary punishment,” Sharif said in a statement.

So far, no insurgent group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The attack comes a day after another device was detonated by a police patrol in Khudzar district, killing one member of the security forces and injuring two others.
