A 43-year-old woman has been detained by Atlantic police in recent hours after allegedly injuring a neighbor in the genitals after a fight broke out in the municipality of Palmar de Varela.
According to information from the authorities, the dispute started after some cows belonging to the victim, a 35-year-old man, entered the woman’s yard, who pulled out a firearm and shot the owner of the animals.
The woman noticed the presence of the uniformed officers and tried to hide the gun in her house, but in a quick action the uniformed officers managed to confiscate it.
For his part, the man was helped and transferred to a care center where he is being treated, while the aggressor was arrested and will have to answer for the crimes of personal injury, attempted homicide and illegal possession of firearms.
