In the morning hours of this Thursday, March 2, a fight was recorded in the municipality of Juan de Acosta in the department of Atlántico, in which a man was seriously injured after receiving several rounds from a shotgun.
As determined by the police, the confrontation took place on Calle 3 with Carrera 8 in the Villa Estadio neighborhood, at 8:30 am. There, a person identified by authorities as Nahum Padilla took out his weapon and shot Jairo Enrique Higgins Villanueva, age 59.
The alleged assailant fled in an unknown direction, leaving the 16-millimeter caliber shotgun in place, allowing the armed group to find and later confiscate it.
For his part, Higgins Villanueva was transferred to Juan de Acosta Municipal Hospital, where doctors confirmed that he had several injuries to his back, but that he remained stable until this publication.
Finally, it was learned that Sijín and Sipol were carrying out the duties of the specialty to clarify the facts and find the arrest of the alleged perpetrator.
