They kill ‘Pedrinho Matador’, the biggest serial killer in the history of Brazil

On Sunday, March 5, Pedro Rodrigues Filho, better known as ‘Pedrinho Matador’ and considered Brazil’s biggest serial killer, was shot dead near Sao Paulo.

Rodrigues Filho was released in 2018 after serving a 42-year prison sentence for being responsible for more than 100 murders, according to his own admission.

After his release from prison, ‘Pedrinho Matador’ became a successful YouTuber.

His murder took place in the Ponte Grande neighborhood, in the municipality of Mogi das Cruzes, on the outskirts of Sao Paulo, specifically in front of his sister’s house. According to police, several hooded men got out of a car and shot him at close range.

Rodrigues Filho, who died aged 69, was accused of murdering at least 71 people – among them drug traffickers, rapists, pedophiles and thieves – although he himself confessed to more than a hundred. More than half died behind bars while imprisoned.

In interviews conducted with local media in previous years, the killer pointed out that he killed those with criminal pasts for “fun and revenge”, for what he considered “good for society”.

Born on October 29, 1954, in the midst of poverty, he was never able to study and from the age of ten he was already involved in robberies in the center of Sao Paulo and reportedly killed his first victims at the age of eleven. . When his father lost his job, he shot the deputy mayor of the municipality of Alfenas for firing him after accusing him of theft.

Years later, he killed his father when he discovered he had killed his mother with a machete.

After his release from prison, he became a well-known ‘youtuber’, with almost 200,000 followers, he released a book and made a documentary.
