A judge with functions of checking guarantees has declared an intramural seizure order against Ricardo López Rojas, former councilor of the municipality of Puerto Colombia, because he is the alleged perpetrator of sexual acts with a child under 14 years old.
According to the investigation coordinated by a prosecutor of the Center for Comprehensive Care for Victims of Sexual Abuse (Caivas), on February 27, the defendant allegedly subjected an 11-year-old girl to sexual harassment in the house where she lived in said municipality lived.
The investigation also showed that the 56-year-old studied was an alderman of the municipality mentioned a few years ago.
It should be remembered that his arrest was carried out by the national police on March 10, in accordance with a court order. The alleged sexual assault attacker was charged with aggravated sexual acts with children under 14, which he did not accept.
“After endorsing the strong arguments of the prosecution, a judge with a function of safeguards has issued an inpatient seizure order against him,” the prosecutor added in a statement.
