After spending several hours in the Intensive Care Unit of the Santa Mónica Clinic, at carrera 43 with calle 70, the death of Gorin Antonio Avelar Valencia, the alleged thief who shot and killed the young university student Héctor Miguel Rodríguez Mendoza, 21, in the middle of an attempted robbery in a clothing store at 72 Calle with 42 Carrera, in the Las Delicias district.
This fact occurred last Wednesday, March 29, around 7:50 p.m. It was then that Héctor Miguel arrived at the store in the company of a friend, apparently intending to purchase an item, when he was approached by Avelar Valencia. The latter tried to take the possessions of the Unisimon nursing student during a struggle and then shot him. As a result of that attack, the young man died.
However, Avelar Valencia was approached by witnesses to the attack and received a beating that left him in a serious health condition, which is why police officers and paramedics took him to the aforementioned care center.
