Police shut down Cardiff’s city center tube following allegations of serious sexual assault. The area remained closed Saturday after the sexual assault.
In the early hours of Saturday 1st April, South Wales Police received reports that a woman had been seriously sexually assaulted. The basement where the attack is believed to have taken place is one of several found at the southern end of the North Road and Boulevard De Nantes, near Cardiff Castle.
South Wales Police said on Saturday afternoon: “We are investigating a serious sexual assault that was reported in the early hours of this morning. The tube has been shut down near Queen Street in Cardiff city center and an investigation is ongoing.
No one is known to have been detained in connection with the incident.
