An earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale shakes Panama without any damage or injuries

The magnitude 6.8 quake was recorded at 5:18 p.m. local time (22:18 GMT) with the epicenter in a Pacific sector located 71 kilometers from Coiba Island, at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to revised data from the State Institute of Geosciences Panamanian university (IGCP).

Another 4.2 magnitude quake with an epicenter also nearby coiba, 42 miles away, and at a depth of 6 miles, was recorded 10 minutes later, the Institute of Geosciences reported.
