State Governor Jorginho Mello expressed his condolences in a statement: “It is with great sadness that we receive the news that a kindergarten has been opened. Cantinho do Bom Pastor, with Blumenau was captured by an assassin who attacked children and staff. Unfortunately, 4 people died in the attack. As soon as I got the news, I ordered our special forces, who were still at the scene of the attack, to intervene. The killer was immediately arrested. I wish God’s condolences to the hearts of the families at this time of deep pain.”
And unfortunately the balance still risks being partial: the Santo Antônio hospital in Blumenau has announced the hospitalization of four children no older than 2 years old, but there is no information about their health condition.
