The plane disappeared from radar an hour after takeoff, half an hour before its scheduled landing, Japanese broadcaster NHK reported.
Black Hawk Fatal Accidents
There have been two fatal accidents involving Black Hawk helicopters in recent weeks. Nine people were killed when two helicopters collided in Kentucky last week.
Last month, two National Guard pilots were killed in an accident near a freeway in Alabama.
